Steven Michael Jones represents clients in civil and criminal litigation matters. Notably, Mr. Jones has significant experience in the area of litigation, handling serious and high profile cases including jury and bench trials. Mr. Jones has successfully represented individuals, businesses and government entities in a wide variety of litigation matters. Mr. Jones tailors his practice to provide a client-focused approach, designed to carefully and collaboratively consider each client’s unique circumstances when preparing the best strategy for each case.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Jones was a member of the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, rising to the rank of Deputy District Attorney and handling cases ranging from financial fraud and white-collar investigations, to crimes against older adults, serious assault, DUI, drugs, homicide and Investigative Grand Jury proceedings. While in that post, Mr. Jones held many roles including Chief of Special Investigations. Additionally, Mr. Jones was a member of the Special Victims Unit (SVU) where he assisted law enforcement in the investigation of such allegations, worked with child and adult victims of sexually violent crimes, and headed the Elder Abuse Division of the Special Victims Unit (SVU). As a member of the Bucks County Crimes Against Older Adults Task Force, Mr. Jones worked with law enforcement and other professionals at the county, state and federal levels to help train individuals and coordinate a collaborative approach in recognizing and preventing the abuse of older adults. He was a regular speaker at the Annual William J. Neff Symposium on the Prevention of Crimes Against Older Adults – lecturing before hundreds of nurses, social workers, administrators, police officers, counselors, lawyers and other professionals involved in insuring the well-being of older adults. In addition, Mr. Jones was also the head of the Expungement Unit within the District Attorney’s Office for several years during his tenure in that office, reviewing and analyzing all of the expungement matters in Bucks County, as well as formulating specific office procedures.

Mr. Jones now focuses his practice on representing individuals, businesses, and government entities in litigation matters – both criminal and civil –  bringing litigation experience and a client centric approach to his practice.  In criminal court, Mr. Jones’ experience as a prosecutor provides him with valuable insight into the thought process and strategies used by the government to investigate and prosecute cases, and assists him in recognizing the demeanor and tenor of the courtroom.  This insight assists Mr. Jones in routinely winning verdicts that exonerate his clients, and regularly successfully arguing for the significant reduction in charges.

A member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, as well as the Pennsylvania and Bucks County Bar, and the Bucks County Inn of Court, he is a cum laude graduate of both West Chester University (B.S. Accounting 2004) and Widener University School of Law (J.D. 2007). In 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, Mr. Jones was selected to the Pennsylvania Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Mr. Jones was also selected to the 2020 list of The National Trial Attorney's Top 40 Under 40.
